My first Terrarium!

I’ve always wanted a Terrarium and I would swoon over the ones that I would find on Etsy. After doing a search, I found some great instructions and put a few together after this first one. Now I’m officially hooked. Warning to friends: you will receive a Terrarium whether you like it or not.

They’re so addicting! I’ve gone to 3 different nurseries in Danville, Dublin and San Ramon to find the perfect succulents and mosses. I can’t get enough and as I type I have a rather large tray in my trunk of new plants so I can make my 5th and 6th Terrariums. ( I told you I was hooked) I’m also eagerly waiting my shipment of beautifully made ceramic mushrooms by Mudpuppy to add to my little gardens.

I found the perfect Terrarium containers from Michaels Arts and Craftsand they even had instructions to make putting one together a breeze.

I just received a comment from a blog that is dedicated to the wonderful world of ferns and mosses. Check out The Fern and Mossery blog for a wealth of information pertaining to Terrariums and some tips and tricks that I think would be beneficial to any first timer.

I found these beautiful Terrarium containers on my search. Here and here.

Your terrarium came out so cute, I love it. The ceramic mushrooms will be the perfect touch. I once made a wedding themed terrarium for a centerpiece at a friend’s nuptials.

That’s gorgeous! I love terrariums and I’ve been thinking of buying one for a while now. The only problem is deciding which one is my favorite. There are so many great ones!

I have a few of those mudpuppy mushrooms on my computer desk and just seconds ago I read about a pear shaped terrarium (on Decor8) and now terrariums are talked about here — I’m thinking I need to get one. lol

I’m seriously addicted. I just spent $100 today on new containers, moss and gravel so that I can make more and have my kids make their own. I think they’d really enjoy it. ;-)

Thanks for including a link to my blog Andrea! And the investment in terrarium-making materials is a good one- you’ll soon start collecting bottles and jars and have more terrariums than you’ll know what to do with!
