I love plants, especially air plants because they’re pretty tough to kill. You only have to spritz or soak them in water every so often and they look fabulous anywhere that you put them. I didn’t love horses as a child – that was my friend Lisa – who for many years took riding lessons. I’d stop by to watch from time to time, and I thought it looked fun, but it didn’t move me otherwise.
Interestingly now – through the gorgeous images of photographers like Laura Evans, Irene Suchocki, and William Dohman, I can see the beauty that my younger self couldn’t.
