Raw Chocolate

By Raw Chocolate

First off, I love chocolate and I love different varieties because plain ole chocolate won’t do for me. Raw Chocolate creates a wonderful line of raw, uncooked chocolates and truffles which allow for them to retain the goodness that is generally lost during the cooking process. Cacao in its raw state is considered a superfood and contains over 300 nutritional compounds, wow.

Do yourself a favor and buy uncooked chocolates in their raw state. If you’re going to consume calories then make it really worth your while and eat something that’s actually good for you.

I came across this lovely rhubarb drink recipe today. Doesn’t this look delish?

rhubarb drink with lemon grass and mint

4 large pieces of rhubarb (about 500 grams)
muscovado sugar or plain white (as who likes)
juice and lime zest
2 “shoots” of lemon grass (can also be powdered or dried)
a few mint leaves
around 750 ml water

Sliced the rhubarb into pieces, flooded with water, added sugar and crushed with a knife and peeled the outer skin lemongrass and simmer about 10-13 minutes. Add the zest and juice of lime and mint leaves and ice cubes.

Voila!

Tea
1. Thyme 2. Tea Pot 3. Moss + Tin Pot 4. Cardamom Tea

I love a good spot of tea and I drink copious amounts of it daily. I LOVE fruit green teas and I get my fix from buying those from my local Asian Market. I also love Milk Teas which are usually black tea varieties that when milk is added it makes for a “tea latte”. I look forward to my daily cups.

Tea Time

Lately in love with this tea: majorelle mint .

<br data-recalc-dims= During the winter I am not a coffee drinker, exception made only for lattes at Maialino, so sometimes drinking the same tea (english breakfast) can get a bit boring. So what I like to do is, spice it up changing teas and tisanes and methods of preparing it with different infusers.

It definitely puts me in a good mood, instantly!

Blackberry Chambord Jam

Blackberry Chambord Jam by SunchowdersEmporia on Etsy.

All I can say is Mmmmm.
I’m a crumpet kind of gal (who can resist only 60 calories of toasty fluffy goodness?)and every morning I love to have my morning cappucinno with a crumpet topped with a bit of jam from my local Farmers Market.
This Jam from Sunchowders Emporia is literally making my mouth water. They’re handpicked at Spring Valley Farms in Umatilla, FL. Gotta love something that’s not mass produced in a factory but actually made with the hands of people that love what they do.

Handmade Chocolate Marshmallows

I will admit that I have ordered many different varieties from Whimsy and Spice and even though they ALL taste fabulous, these were my favorite.
