a. Diamond 2 b. Obelisk Terrarium c. Dodecahedron-small d. Cootie Catcher
This shop is in a word, awesome. Who knew Triangles and Obelisks could look so cool? Also everything in this shop is made from recycled window glass so they’re eco friendly to boot. I love any shop willing to give something new life and Meg obviously has the talent to do it.
Alexis embellished silk blouse

Cassie bib encrusted dress
I love anything eco chic and I love the fact that these designers are local! Their photography as well as their clothing are beyond words and I want everything from this shop. I’m so glad that I stumbled across the designing trio of Angie Kim, Mandalyn Begay, and Maggie Kim last night because I’ll be keeping close watch on any new fabulous pieces that they create.

Wedding Set

I’ve decided to add more inside photos and work from my studio since I haven’t been doing that in quite some time. Honestly, I never really felt comfortable pushing my own work on my blog and would feel guilty about it but as I get busier and busier and as my business grows in a new direction I’m finding I want to share the excitement I feel when I complete something for a customer. I’m doing a lot of new things and migrating from Silver onto more precious metals and Diamonds since this is truly what I love to work with. It took me a very long time to find what I enjoyed most on my journey of being a self taught metalsmith. Some things took longer to learn because it was quite difficult at times trying to read and follow a technique just from the written word.
My wish is to one day take classes and become certified as a Goldsmith but until then I will be happy plugging away at what my mind and hands think I can manifest and fabricate at this time.
So far, so good….

This place is so fabulous. My first visit here I bought 5 hats and I couldn’t be happier with my purchases.

Gold Pinch Fedora

Tango

Private
{I bought 3 of these in different colors and It’s perfect for throwing on for those bad hair days.}
I was very impressed when I first walked into this shop. They had such a wonderful selection and their customer service was hyper top notch. Hands down the nicest bunch of people that were eager to help you, hell or high water. See, I have a hat obsession as well as scarf and coat obsessions. {yes I know I have problems, lol} I don’t mind paying for good quality and everything here was superbly well made. I cannot stress enough how nice the fabrics that they use are. This is a company that takes great pride in what they do and it shows, big time.
If you’re ever in the Berkley area, stop by their shop on 2926 College Ave, or go to other shops in your area. You will not be disappointed.

pet hat – frog
Not only is this cat off the charts awwww, but this frog hat is equally cute. Made by fellow Bay Area artist xmoonbloom, her hats and Amigurumi dolls are cute and colorful. She even sells patterns for the daring.
-Love it

I just loved our trip to the Berkeley Hills so that we could take these beautiful pictures. Delia and her Fiance Pat took a drive the previous weekend and she wanted to show me the view that they both enjoyed. I was blown away because we were so high up. I’m not great with winding roads without guard rails so I was a tad nervous as we drove at Granny speed up the mountain side. Granny speed as in 20 mph while everyone else was going about 45. heh heh

I’m so happy that I brought my camera because the view was so awesome. I wish I knew how to take really good pictures but I’m not there yet. One day….

Delia and I went to this shop after our little jaunt at Loot. Our eyes almost popped out of our heads when we walked through this store! They had so much to look at I felt like I was a kid in a candy store, seriously.

I loved the Willy Wonka set up and the fact that the store was playing the original video. I remembered that movie from my youth and it put a smile on my face. I almost fell over when Delia told me that she never saw the original. Now I’m going to have to make her watch it, the shame of it all.. lol

This wonderful candy store is located across the street from Loot and it’s a must see for sure. The chocolate selection alone is worth going for.
While my kids are enjoying their Spring Break in Las Vegas my friend Delia took a couple days off from work to spend time with me. We decided that we would try to hit various local spots here in the Bay Area. We took lots of pictures with our camera phones but the pictures from a phone is never as good as you would get with our normal cameras.
We came across a FABULOUS store by the name of “Loot“. The store is run by a floral designer with impeccable taste and you can find the most gorgeous “antiquey” pieces there. I left with a pretty sunburst mirror and some pictures that I immediately had Delia help me put up because they were so amazing. Here are some pictures of this fabulous store in Lafayette. The pictures are a bit grainy but all I had was my camera phone with me at the time..
{Check out the grey tiny little bird next to the bright green pots in the picture below. Those are tealight candle holders and I had to grab one. So pretty when you have a lit candle inside one}

This store is just so fabulous; it’s definitely worth a visit. There is something for every price range to make your Nest look fabulous!
