Oh, how happy I was to see that I had a sale this morning from a very, well known blog Diva, Jena from Modish! Another huge smile went across my face when I went to her blog and saw that I was also featured blog of the week!
I feel honored to be mentioned on this awesome blog that supports Indie artists and has great write ups about the fantastic and wonderful.

Some of you may have noticed that I went from using stylehive to the new Stylefeeder which I really like alot. I’ve included some pictures of the subjects that I write about in my blog in the stylefeeder as a little extra plug for the artists. I was given a plug today for the contest, nice.
I received an email yesterday regarding an enamel pendant of mine that was out of stock, and they were asking to have it made for a stylefeeder contest winner. I was able to fire up another piece yesterday and sent it out this morning to the winner of the stylefeeder contest paid for by the awesome people from Stylefeeder. First off, how cool is that? I always see contests here and there but I’ve never had one of my products listed on someone’s list. So I was happy to be of help and I really hope Molly enjoys her necklace. I even threw in her package a large pack of coupons with discounts from other fellow Indie artists that are part of "Totally Indie Coupons".
Kudos to Stylefeeder for hosting such a cool giveaway that lets their users have the opportunity to score great products from their favorites on their lists!

We all love a good read, in fact we all LOVE a good blog. Colorful and chock full of interesting topics about the subjects that we crave. Me? I’m a little blog. I do it for fun and a way to show things that I’ve come across. The “Queens” are just that. Queens of their domain in the blogging world of Fashionistas and Frappuccinos.
These gals are showing Indie to their full potential..offering contests, great reads and an overall great outlet for up and coming Indie designers that need to gain footing in the fast paced environment of fashion and style.
Here’s my list, check it twice:

- Rare Bird Finds : great contests, write ups and a new gift guide that’s sure to please.
- Indie Obsession:Overall, just a well written blog. Are you obsessed yet?
- Juniper Designs: Very edgy and Haute.
- Miss Malaprop: Many props to miss Malaprop. Taking Indie and the Eco-Friendly movement by storm.
- Mixed Plate: Such a great blog, with a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Must see.
- Thrifty Boutique: She gave me my very FIRST write up and I’m forever grateful. Such a great blog.
- Creature Comforts: The ultimate take your shoes off, relax and read blog. Many wonderful and new things in this blog.
- Modish: Stylish blog for Indie Shoppers.
There are so many other awesome blogs out there, I could never write them all.:-) But these are the few that I see, and hear about because they love spreading the word about Indie and products that you can’t seem to live without. ;-)
Visit each and every blog to see what you’ve been missing.

So as I sit on my computer and go through the joy that is business tax, I get an email from someone that I was looking forward to hearing from. Adjowah is the face behind The Weekend Store and MavenFair. I was sad to hear that the show for February was on hiatus but due to its popularity she’s looking for a bigger and brighter venue. So I’m excited and I have my calendar marked.
I signed up for her newsletter so I would know any goings on and was happy to receive her newsletter this morning. She is offering so many great opportunities for Indie designers such as a gift guide, ad space, and Co op advertising! I quickly made some ads and sent them off and was happy to hear she had space.

Stop by the MavenFair site to sign up for the newsletter to be in the know and possibly have chances for great advertising and exposure opportunities! Spread the word.

I was so happy to receive a blog comment letting me know that I was featured as…" Blogs Worth Loving"! How sweet is that! I actually love her blog!
What’s so great about Mallory’s blog site is, she features Indie artists and small businesses that you may not have known about otherwise.
Being a small business myself, I know the importance of getting your name out there to the masses, and when great blog writers give you that little extra push, it’s a "great thing". (not to be confused with a "good thing" by Martha Stewart);-)

I’ve had a lot of fun with my blog, and I think it’s because I don’t take myself seriously. I enjoy writing about great artwork, jewelry, and anything Indie that sparks my interest. I wish I was a person with a lot to say but I kind of follow the rule, "Get in, get out", hence the reason for my short list of details that I have been giving with each item that I write about. :-) Here is a snapshot of my stats, which went from about 21 readers daily to 50 daily, which is great! If anyone wants to be featured, drop me a line, I won’t bite. As long as your pictures are clear and don’t require much editing on my part, you’re golden.
One day, I’ll start charging a meager fee for my advertisers to pay for the cost of my blog (so..9 bucks a month…divided by 9 ads, whoa) but until that day comes, I’m happy writing about whatever makes me happy and puts a smile on my face for me and the person I’m writing about.
I realized my blog will never be of importance in the Google stats because frankly I spend my Google dollars on my main website. I’m getting readership without having that little green bar in the browser telling me how unimportant my blog is. lol Talk about an ego stomper.
Well…I guess I am a person with a lot to say..it just depends on the topic.
So if you have anything that you want featured, drop me a line. I will eventually have contests for my readers once I figure out a good one. ?

It was a pleasant surprise to receive an email from Indie woman extraordinaire Jen of Indie Fixx letting me know that my Scottie Dog pin was featured today. Simone Walsh, who by the way makes awesome jewelry, referred my pin over to Jen (thanks Simone) as a possible writeup. Little things like this brighten my day and it was much needed.
Thank you ladies!
